Chief Complaint: Pain Fatigue Weight-gain Delayed Menstrual Cycle

Western Diagnosis: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Medical History: Patient has experienced menstrual irregularities with delayed menstruation and worsening pain before menses since the previous year. Weight gain has also increased as well as fatigue and now depression. Patient has experienced hirsutism for the previous 2 years.

Questioning exam: Patient has a mixed pattern of tendency to be cold, but very warm hands. Bloating experienced after eating. Undigested food with loose stool. Energy level 3/10. Menses delayed for 3 months on average. Severe cramping before flow with clotting. Flow lasts for 3-5 days.

Pulse exam: Pulse weak overall with slippery quality on the right and more of a choppy/wiry quality on the left

Tongue exam: The tongue presented as swollen with teeth marks and frothy white coat on tongue body. The tongue color was sl. dark red with much vessel distention under the tongue.

OM Diagnosis: OM diagnosis is Chong and Ren Disharmony onlineusadrugstore24.com (irregular menstrual flow/hirsutism) with Sp qi deficiency(Fatigue/Digestive problems), Dampness(Weight gain/depression) and Blood Stagnation (premenstrual pain and clotting). Underlying Kidney Deficiency.

Treatment Principle: Harmonize Chong and Ren Meridians, Drain Dampness, Move Blood Stagnation and Tonify Sp Qi and Kidneys.

Results: Improved energy first good result. Pain decreased premenstrually. Swartzbein Diet helping also with Insulin control and weight loss. Foods improved greatly. Digestion improved.
